5 Surprising Health Benefits of Semen Retention!

There is quite a lot of controversy these days regarding the benefits of frequent ejaculation vs. semen retention for men.

Media coverage of a 2016 study suggested that frequent ejaculation may prevent men from developing prostate cancer, though that is NOT actually what the results indicated. Rather, the results of this study indicated that men who have active and fulfilling sex lives are less likely to develop prostate cancer, than men who do not.

Sadly, there are very few articles written about the concrete, tangible, mental, emotional, and physiological benefits of semen retention on a man’s health.

I know many men who practice the art of semen retention, and rave about the benefits, but thus far-they haven’t written any articles singing the praises of semen retention and non-ejaculatory orgasms for men.

Due to my profession, I regularly witness the radically positive and life transformative effects that semen retention has on men, and their partners.


Below are 5 concrete, tangible, mental, emotional, and physiological benefits of regular semen retention for men, that are personally & scientifically verifiable.


1. Sexual Stamina! 

Lasting longer is a topic that is near and dear to the heart of many men.

The first aspect of semen retention for men, is simply learning to control involuntary ejaculation.

By using Tantric semen retention methods men can learn to manage their sexual response, and condition their bodies so that sexual stimulation can last for as long as they choose.

This contributes to the mental and emotional health of a man by giving him a sense of personal empowerment in regards to his sexuality, and a deeper sense of self-confidence, knowing that he can sexually satisfy his partner.

Taoist Sexual Master Mantak Chia has stated that when men retain their semen during sexual activity, their brain energy increases 2x’s!

All of this being said, it is important for men to ejaculate sometimes. Obviously if you are attempting to conceive a child, there will be some periods when it is necessary to ejaculate with a degree of frequency.

But even at those times, it is recommended by experts to refrain from frequent ejaculation between lovemaking sessions.

Some Tantric experts recommend an ejaculation frequency of once every 6 weeks for male students, over the age of 35.

  1. I am researching the benefits of semen retention and I can’t find any decent research at all. The list you have presented here offers no double-blind clinical evidence on any topic, just “this doctor stated” and “it is a well known fact” type of information — none of it can be taken as real evidence. In fact, as a life-long athlete, I don’t think it is a well-known fact that refraining from ejaculation helps athletic performance in any way. This is an old superstition, passed along by coaches in the “old days,” and proven wrong by the superstars of sports during the past 60 years or longer, including legends such as Mickey Mantle and every pro football and basketball player of the past half-century. As a tai chi instructor and student, it is amazing that this old superstition still exists, and people are far too happy to pass it along. I am still looking for actual clinical evidence that involves valid methodology and a valid number of patients.

    1. By the way, I would like to see the study from China on testosterone that you cite. Which journal was it in and what was the methodology? Did you see the recent news reports about the fraud that is rampant in Chinese clinical trials? Research is doctored and trials that show negative results are buried. It is a scandal.   6. The reported benefits of semen retention are valid. My testosterone is through the roof and I’ve had a dramatically deeper voice for 3 weeks! I was young when I started to lift weights and made a tremendous progress without taking muscle building drugs, I even my peers was surprised about the progress. Without knowing about the benefits of no fap or semen retention, I started asking questions about how it happened. I also have a deeper voice compared to other teens (that’s one of my questions back then). But due to easy access to pornography and toxic peers, my mind is addicted to ejaculation, also because of the researches that claims about the reduction of the risk of acquiring prostate cancer if you ejaculate, my sexual addiction intensifies.
