Semen Retention And How It Will Change Your Life

What is Semen Retention?

Semen Retention as taught by Authentic Tantra Practitioners, is the practice of separating orgasm from ejaculation. Ancient philosophies and medical practices from Asia and India have long claimed that semen retention leads to better health and longer life. Semen, which is in essence the very life-force of a man, must be retained in the body to maintain a man’s health.

Ejaculation reduces the life-force available to a man, which is evident from the immediate drop in energy and generally depressed nature, which can be observed after ejaculating. Semen is a complex mixture of calcium, phosphorus, lecithin, cholesterol, albumin, and nucleoproteins. When it is retained, it is re-absorbed into the body where it is used to directly support the brain and central nervous system. This improves their function, making you more focused and confident.

Sexual energy created during arousal must also be transmuted to take full advantage of semen retention. Transmutation allows sexual energy to be used for the benefit of a man and not released in such a way as to harm him. Techniques that have been used to transmute sexual energy include pranayama, meditation, mantra, and the Tibetan 5 Element Healing Practices.

Physical activities, such as exercise, are also useful ways to transmute sexual energy.

What are the benefits of semen retention?

There are many benefits to semen retention for physical health, mental health and spiritual awareness.

Some of the more common ones include:

  • increased energy and drive
  • boosted immune system
  • cures erectile dysfunction
  • prevents premature ejaculation

  • more confidence
  • improved memory
  • more decisive

  • calmer and less prone to anger
  • more connected to spiritual nature
  • control over material urges

How is semen retention practiced?

The benefits of semen retention can not be achieved by being celibate and avoiding all sexual activity.

The full benefits can only be attained by experiencing sexual arousal, without ejaculation.

Sun Simiao, a Chinese doctor and philosopher, said that a man could receive the benefits of semen retention and still experience ejaculation twice per month. Some branches of Tibetan Buddhism use semen retention techniques as a tool in discovering deeper states of emptiness and bliss.

To aid in recovery after ejaculation, exercise and a diet high in zinc are recommended.

Why practice semen retention?

Semen retention improves your sex life.

Frequent sexual arousal, without ejaculation, builds stamina and self-control. Self-control that allows you to last as long as necessary. Men that do not practice semen retention will usually last two to seven minutes before ejaculating, leaving the woman less than satisfied. Sexual gratification usually takes longer for a woman to achieve, so women need a man that can last as long as she can.

If a man is able to maintain sexual arousal for as long as he desires, it not only allows the woman to reach climax, it heightens the expectation of more climaxes to come. In the end, a longer lasting you will make a happier her.

  1. Hacking a Facebook account is one of the things that more and more people want to learn these days. If you happen to be one of them, here are some easy ways on how to do this. It may be impossible for some, but for others who are curious and first timers in hacking, it is something that is never impossible to do. In every hack, there will be particular guidelines to make the hack work. In this strategy, you must be witty and imaginative all alone.

  2. Terrific article! That is the type of information that are meant
to be shared across the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this
post higher! Come on over and visit my web site .
    Thanks =)

    1. Absolutely! As a man, I practice semen retention, and my sexual energy is at an all time high. I have an unbelievable amount of confidence, drive, and masculine force that I use in my day-to-day life. My voice has gotten deeper, I’ve become more charismatic, and I’m able to retain information easier. The world needs to wake up to this

  3. Does your website have a contact page? I’m having trouble locating it but,
I’d like to send you an email. I’ve got some recommendations for your blog
you might be interested in hearing. Either way, great website
and I look forward to seeing it expand over time.

  4. Hey! I could have sworn I’ve been to this site before but after reading through some of the
post I realized it’s new to me. Nonetheless, I’m definitely
delighted I found it and I’ll be bookmarking and checking back frequently!

  5. Great post. This is a great explanation of what I feel everyday. Key is to still allow urges but just not cum. Ive been on and off with nofap for a while, and it’s crazy how it changes your life and personality for the better. Each positive effect is so strong, especially socially. Try 3 weeks of this and you’ll notice an extreme difference in social confidence:

    1. No man I fully agree, I tried this for along with resistance training every morning and evening and felt a type of confidence and strength I’d never felt before my whole life. This is the only way of life I seek.

  6. This article is so real. I once abstain for 3 months and the result was astonishing. My mind lit up and become blissfull!!!
Don’t know how it works but I really recommend it

    1. It doesn’t work like that, once you ejaculate the energy in the body is released. This is when a man enters the refractory period, eating the sperm will not give you any benefits.

  7. I saved my energy st different times iof my life and noticed intuition became strong and needed less sleep-
I never had a multiple Orgasm and where can someone learn more about this method of saving energy and still having an orgasm?

  8. Did you know in the Old Testament it states in order to be saved the male must get cercumsized. – this does make it a little easier to feel less sensation around the penis and that would support a man in not having to release his fluids.
    What do you think ?

    1. Circumcision is a massive genital trauma and can actually be a factor in premature ejaculation. The issue for men in lasting longer is more about learning to relax with sensation and filling the entire body with pleasurable sensation, as opposed to just the head of the penis 🙂

  9. I have practiced semen retention for a few years and it has changed my life for the better, much better, However I do have a question, I like to get to the very edge and try to stay there as long as possible. I can easily stay at the edge for 20 minutes sometimes for an hour or so. I think one and one half hours is my record. At that point it is just so good I can’t handle it any more and of course there are other things that need to be done. While at the edge of ejaculation I do however emit some semen, Is that OK? I’m not talking about full blown ejaculation and I’m not talking about clear precum. What are your thoughts on this? Should I try to eliminate total retention? Thanks

    1. Hi there! Thank you for sharing. You are doing AWESOME! Those few drops emitted are good and healthy! Means your winds are moving properly. Great job!

  10. Thank you Devi. My intuition told me that it was good to move the semen and to always have a “fresh batch”. If I go for 3 or 4 days without some emission the semen seems to get grayer and thinner and not as fresh. Thanks for sharing this valuable information.

  11. All the mainstream research suggests that semen retention has a correlation to prostate cancer.
I have been practising semen retention for about a year now but often feel obliged to release fluids owing to the medical data.
Before reasing this website & other similar ones I felt intuitively that semen retntion would be good for my mind body & spirirt and so it is.
But the results seen in science trouble me & I’m uncertain as to the best advice.
As a man in my 40’s prostate cancer is at the back of my mind but more than ever, semen release leaves me overly hungry, lethargic, cranky & moe unsettled. I want to believe the tantric advice but require a little more persuasion.

    1. Hey there Bud, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. First off I want to correct this statement – “All the mainstream research suggests that semen retention has a correlation to prostate cancer.” This is actually not true. I have read the studies referred to in the media and #1- they are not studying semen retention, they are studying the effects of frequent ejaculation on the prostate. #2- Despite the spin of mainstream media, the results have NOT shown that frequent ejaculation is good for the prostate. The studies have shown that frequent sexual activity with ejaculation is potentially healthy for the prostate. The research has NOT studied frequent sexual activity WITHOUT ejaculation, because the researchers of the study don’t even know that is a possibility. The only thing these studies have in fact proven is that white, cisgender, heterosexual men who are sexually active, either with themselves or a partner, may possibly have fewer instances of a certain type of prostate cancer than white, cis-gender, heterosexual men who have less sexual activity. That’s what the study ACTUALLY says. The researchers also mention that they failed to take into account that men having less frequent sexual activity may have other health-related issues in place. The finding that less sexual activity may contribute to prostate illness is consistent with Taoist philosophy around stagnant energy causing illness.

    1. It is a fantastic practice. If he’s looking for tools to last longer I recommend our program 🙂

  12. Thanks , I’ve recently been looking for information approximately this subject for ages and yours is the best I’ve came upon so far. However, what in regards to the bottom line? Are you positive concerning the source?

  14. I’ve been browsing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never
found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty
worth enough for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did,
the internet will be a lot more useful than ever before.

  15. I agree that semen retention has its benefits but if it’s helpful for men why not women too? Why would it be biologically beneficial to the man to retain his semen but good for a woman to ejaculate as stated in your article?

    1. Great question! Because female life force essence is not tied to our sexual emissions. For men, your semen is quite literally baby batter. You create LIFE with your sexual emission. Female sexual emissions are not tied to child bearing. Our life force essence is tied to menstruation and child bearing. So we have other practices to build and retain our vital essences during these phases of our life. Make sense?

      1. Hello. This was really an excellent article. But I have a question. Some of my friends say that they just swallow back the semen they ejaculated to avoid ojas loss. Is that a possible way to avoid ojas loss whilist enjoying masturbation/sex? Please clarify.

        1. It’s better than nothing but is not the equivalent of retention by any means and does not bring the benefit of non-ejaculatory orgasms which are developed though the SR process when practiced correctly.

  16. Very interesting article! Finally, some clean comments on the subject! I have been practicing retention for many months but dislike the feeling of pressure in my prostate. Has anyone else been concerned about this? Also, for me, ejaculation to relieve the pressure seems to disconnect my ability to experience the same level of Spiritual relationship until my levels of fluids are back to normal (without the pressure). This is very concerning for me as I desire to have my personal relationship with God in my spirit more than anything else in life. I have been snipped many years ago, so it is not a semen issue. Interestingly, when having relations with my wife, this does not happen, but she is physically unable because of chronic pain!

  17. While researching for my blog and upcoming book, I stumbled upon your podcast about the Vasectomy, Semen Retention and maintaining his Life Force Energy. I really enjoyed listening!

In my Tantric journey, spanning nearly two decades, it has been a passion of mine to awaken men to be multi-orgasmic with ejaculation choice. I’ve developed six key Luminous Energy Orgasm techniques, which I teach/coach to individuals with a penis during my Tantric Male Multiples Mastery sessions.

When coaching younger men (aged 13 to 30), who ask about semen retention, I draw a comparison to the female menstrual cycle. It’s like their body’s equivalent of experiencing “blue balls” every 21-28 days.

This wisdom extends beyond age – for all men, it’s about listening to their bodies. The innate intelligence within guides him when it’s the right time to release their accumulated build-up of sexual energy — “Emptying the Pipes”

Your podcast resonated with me deeply. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
