Can Tantra Heal Our Environment

How Can Tantra Heal Our Environment?

Welcome to 2024! We hope you had an enriching Holiday 🙂

As we turn the page to another year the need to cultivate healthy relationships with ourselves, each other, and our environment becomes more and more apparent.

The Institute of Authentic Tantra Education is unique in the world of Western Tantra in that we specialize in sharing lineage-based Tantric practices from the Vajrayana tradition of Tibetan Tantric Buddhism.

The most important methods that we share, which are also the foundation for ALL of the more advanced Tantra Yogas in this tradition, are the Tibetan 5 Element Tantric practices – both non-sexual and sexual.

Tibetan 5 Element Tantra allows us to work directly with the elemental energies that make up our body + mind by giving us “the codes” to access the energy body directly. The physical manifestations of the 5 elements of earth, water, fire, air, and space make up our physical bodies and everything in our physical reality.

The energetic manifestation of the 5 elements affects our energy body, thought process, and emotions.

In Tibetan medicine, all illness and/or dysfunction – physical, mental, emotional, sexual, is said to be caused by an imbalance in one or more of the elemental energies in your body and/or environment.

There are numerous ways in which the elemental energies of your body/mind can become imbalanced. Many aspects of our modern Western lifestyle can cause an imbalance in our energy bodies. One of the things that I love so much about understanding the energy body, is how that helps me understand more about the nervous system.

9 times out of 10, if the event or activity in question causes undesired activation in your ANS, it is causing an imbalance in your energy body.

In short, what affects the ANS affects the energy body.

Modern somatic sciences have helped us understand the importance of nervous system regulation. Making sure we are not “stuck” in hypervigilance (frustration, irritation, aggravation, aggression, anger, rage) or hypo-aroused in a depressed or collapsed state.

Tibetan 5 Element Tantra BEGINS with ANS regulation and then takes it several steps further by addressing the ROOT causes of the dysfunction/imbalances. When those imbalances are purely due to the external environment, Tibetan 5 Element Tantra helps creates the internal space we need to relax with or change the stimuli as needed.

When the imbalances are rooted in trauma or “blocks”, Tibetan 5 Element Tantra begins dissolving those root causes in the energy body, the soma, and on the level of consciousness itself.

The shamanistic methods of Tibetan 5 Element Tantra have been used by Tibetan people for quite literally thousands of years to catalyze healing and spiritual growth. You can learn more about how they work effectively to heal and awaken body, mind, spirit, and sex in our FREE Intro to Authentic Tantra.
